Frequently
Asked Questions and their Answers:
Q:
Are your Peels
only for the face?
A:
All of our peels can be used on various parts
of the body
including hands, thighs, and backs. Come
in for the free evaluation so
we can decide which
one is right for you.
Q:
Are any
of the hair removal treatments permanent?
A:
Depending upon your body’s response to the treatments,
the
laser hair removal systems can offer partial permanent
hair
reduction. This means that many of the
follicles will not regrow
any hair while some may
regrow them lighter and thinner. It all
depends
upon the laser treatment that is selected. Come
in for the free evaluation and Dr. Baral will decide
which treatment is right for you. We can treat
all skin colors
and we have had great success!
Q:
I hate injections. Is there
anything that would
get rid of the spider veins on my face and legs
without
any needles?
A:
You are
in luck! Our laser vein treatments
offer state of the art
treatment of leg veins and
we can treat all skin colors! For
facial veins,
we need to be a bit more selective. Come in
and have Dr. Baral take a look.
Q:
I read something about
skin resurfacing helping with
sun-damaged skin. What is this all
about?
A:
After many years of wear and
tear and sun exposure,
your skin begins to look wrinkly and
ropey.
We use MicroDermabrasion, MacroDermabrasion, and our
laser peel to remove this weather beaten layer of
skin revealing the younger skin beneath. In
addition, in many
instances, we provide you with post-peel
topical applications to
maintain the new you!
Q:
Folliculitis Barbae has caused me great
discomfort
and has pretty much made a mess of my face!
As a black man, I walk around with these bumps and
ingrown hairs that get infected and leave my face
spotted and just
disgusting looking. What can
you do for me?
A:
We have several peels and laser hair treatments
that can help you. In addition, we can provide
you with several
topical applications to ease the
condition and return your skin to
it’s natural state.
Q:
Are these treatments only for women?
A:
Men come into our office to have
their exercise
stretchmarks treated, the hair on their backs and
necks removed, their skin conditioned with our numerous
peels and medical conditions professionally handled.
Q:
Many spas offer skin peels. What makes
your
peels so different?
A:
The machinery is
different--we can go deeper since
this is a medical practice. Dr.
Baral is a Board Certified
Dermatologist and Board Certified Pediatric
Dermatologist.
The staff members are all certified medical
personnel.
Before we do any treatment, we review your
medical history thoroughly, so we do not make any
existing medical condition worse. Should we
see any condition
that requires medical intervention,
it can be treated right here!
This is certainly
a plus!
Q:
My acne is
really bad—I mean really bad! Can
you help me?
A:
Of course we can! This is a dermatologist office
too! A combination of medical treatments and
cosmetic procedures
works wonders for acne patients.
And, if you have those
unsightly acne scars, our CoolTouch
laser skin rejuvenation and Salt-
A-Peel treatment
are right for you!
Q:
Will my
insurance cover all your treatments?
A:
Sorry,
Insurance will only cover medical treatments. Cosmetic
treatments
are not covered.
Q:
I have little wart-like bumps in my groin area.
What
could cause this? What should I do?
A:
First, make an appointment to come in to see Dr.
Baral. These bumps could be a number of things,
from some form of
folliculitis to STD’s and skin cancer.
You need a good
evaluation, which you can get here.
